Alma Media School

An Alma Foundation Initiative

Director's Vision

Gaurish Akki

Visual media was my childhood dream. News media became my bread and butter.
Working for nearly two decades in news media I have come to understand how critical is the role of a journalist or a news reporter in shaping the society, in bringing accurate news reports to people, and in general, to create awareness and generate nation-building opinions.
Alma Super Media School is our effort to create the training programs for young and aspiring media professionals who want to become responsible, pro-society journalists and help build a healthy, democratic society.
When a media person reports it should be well-researched and factual. It should also be supported by an in-depth understanding of his or her society. Only then the media person can have a healthy dialogue with his or her audience. For such knowledgeable and unprejudiced mind, a journalist needs adequate training. Alma Super Media School aims to provide such training.
